A lovely bright sunny morning just rather cold and windy. We had a good turnout again and as we had rather a lot of chippings to shift (having received Corton Woods allocation as well as ours) most of us set about finishing off the chipping of Moore's lane. The roses near the picnic site were pruned and the blackthorn surrounding them was cut back. Some of the broken railings were attended to, where some had rotted and collapsed we tidied up but did not replace. Our policy now on the railings is that as they rot we will not replace them because they prevent dog owners access to the wood when they need to clear up after their dogs. Barry and Geoff worked in the Burial Park.
With coffee today we had lovely hot sausage rolls provided by Marie for her birthday. Thanks Marie they were delicious, I had two!!
