A cold cloudy morning but still we had a good turnout. Once again a group went to the Burial Park to help some of the young children from Gunton Primary School plant trees and put their names on the stakes of the ones they planted. Some of us took several barrow loads of chippings into the school for them to use in their play area. We had a group chipping paths, several splitting snowdrops, some planting the new trees into our nursery, removing alexanders, planting trees/shrubs along what used to be a path leading into the farmer's field. All in all, a busy workparty.
With coffee today we had a lovely selection of cakes from Brian as a thank you to the group for supporting him during his prostate cancer treatment, well done Brian, 37 not out ! I wouldn't like to accuse the men of eating too many of the cakes but the fence they rest upon collapsed under their weight !!
