It was one of those days where you start off needing your waterproofs and end up needing a sun hat! A good turn out today and a lot of talk about the AGM last night and how good the speaker was. We started off this morning by taking several wheelbarrow loads of chippings into the school for them, then we started chipping our own paths, first near the main gate and then Moore's lane which has become extremely muddy. Another early job to get out of the way was to remove a bird box and a notice from a large sycamore near the main gate, the tree is rotten at the bottom and will soon be removed by Waveney Norse. Fortunately, the bird box was empty, it and the notice were moved to a tree the other side of the path. A bit more planting in the new area by the dog bin. There was a lot of replacing rotten stakes or canes with new stakes and some of the new guards were used in the B&B area. The edging along the path near the dog bin was finished off and then the main path edging was tidied up and will hopefully be completed next week.
With coffee today we had lovely homemade cakes from Linda for her birthday.
David reminded everyone of the litter pick on Saturday 16th Apr and told us of coach details for the Windsor holiday and the Orwell river trip.
