It was all hands to the pump today. Well, to the wildflower meadow to be exact. We all headed down to the meadow to strim, mow, scythe, shear and rake the long grass. We had hoped to borrow an industrial size cutter for the morning but unfortunately it did not arrive till nearly 10.30. However, by continuing after coffee break we did eventually get the first cut finished. We hope to do a second (finer) cut next week and possibly a third cut in November.
With coffee today we had a lovely selection of cakes from Mark for his birthday, which was a couple of weeks ago, but it's hard to get a spot to provide cakes, there's normally quite a waiting list !!
David reminded the group of the Bingo Fish & Chips evening and of the Snape Christmas outing, he also went on to tell us about the vandalism/arson that had happened - the dog wheelie bin had been set alight and burnt out. We now have a replacement.
