A really good turnout today despite it being bitterly cold. This week despite the cold we had 27 working on various tasks including fixing bird boxes that our vandal woodpecker had destroyed. Most people chose to do chipping paths because with all the wet weather they had become very muddy but mainly to try and keep warm! A few laid out path edging logs and staked them down to keep them in place. Barry & Colin braved the cold to remove ice from the pond as a way of getting rid of some of the duck weed still floating on the surface. David, Linda and some of the ladies planted a tree near the coffee table in memory of Dick Armstrong.
With coffee today we had a lovely selection of homemade cakes made by Mo for her birthday this Saturday. Although I was credited with helping to make the cakes, I have to admit I had nothing to do with them, fortunate for those who ate them !
