A lovely sunny dry morning again and today's work was all about cutting and digging. We had a large dead sycamore to cut down to be used for path edging and we had a heap of soil to be shifted. Combining the two, we took in the dog-bin area as part of the wood, edging it with the cut sycamore and filling it with the soil from the woodchip area, we will plant this up as soon as we decide what should go in there. We also removed the fences along the edge of the path from the dog-bin to Stubbs Wood, soon we will use the railings as path edging and narrow the path.
With coffee today we had a selection of cakes from Cathy for her birthday 2 weeks ago, the cakes were definitely worth waiting for!
David reminded us of the AGM on April 13th 7pm, he also mentioned that the resurfacing work on the main path was now finished and we are just waiting for some rain to "set" it. Although, the contractor was tidying up the main entrance for us today. David announced that all the money for the Windsor trip was now in and the Orwell river trip is now full.
