A beautiful sunny spring morning and being school holidays we had Oscar with us today. We had a lot going on today, clear a fallen tree at the bottom of Moore's Lane from the path leading into PwH field, splitting of snowdrops, pulling up of alexanders, fixing and painting June Sedgley's bench, continuing path edging work started last week, fixing of the steps to the pond dipping platform and pruning shrubs overhanging the paths.
With coffee today we had biscuits and homemade hot sausage rolls from Moira for her birthday on Sunday.
Today we were visited by Councillors Keith Patience and Janet Craig to see the resurfacing work that had been done on our main path. They had paid for the work out of their locality budgets. David thanked them for this and the group gave them a round of applause.
David handed out the AGM agenda and reminded us of the Spring Litter Pick on April 16th 9am. David mentioned that the Orwell river trip is now full and the balance of £34 per person is now due.
David also asked if everyone was happy with the new time for coffee, 10.45, during Spring and Summer months. All there seemed happy with the new time.
