Not too many people out today but we did have Oscar and Max both out helping us. Although there were not too many of us out we did make a big difference, lovely new chippings arrived first thing so we started spreading them out on the paths, we tidied up the fallen branches at the bottom of Moore's lane, we removed and tidied away a blackthorn tree that had fallen near the picnic area, June Sedgley's seat was fixed securely and the wooden slats painted underneath, new shrubs were planted in the area near the dog bin, some of the trees out of the nursery were planted alongside the path from the dog-bin to Stubbs Wood, an alder tree recently planted on the ditch bank near the pond was replanted as it was in danger of slipping into the ditch, unblocked the ditch at the bridge near PwH, and continued splitting snowdrops.
With coffee today we had cakes and hot sausage rolls from Ken for his birthday yesterday.
David reminded everyone of the AGM next Wed 13th April and of Terry's (CIRCA64) gig on Saturday May 14th and that the Orwell river trip balance of £34 per person is now due.
No Rosemary to sort out refreshemnts today as she has broken her arm, again, and is recovering in hospital after an operation yesterday morning. We all wish her well and a speedy recovery.
