We were fortunate not to get rained on this morning, in fact it was quite sunny at times, a lovely morning for working. We continued chipping paths, continued coppicing work at the back of Stubbs Wood (Peter & Lexie came out to help us), another post was put in at the pond, some corncockle seeds were sown in the B&B area, we made a start at clearing leaves off the main path and continued with the clearing of weed from the pond.
With coffee today we had some lovely biscuits that Peter's daughter Lexie had made for us, Lexie even took them round to everyone. I tried a chocolate and salted caramel one (as recommended by Lexie), it was delicious! We also had some shop bought cakes from the cake fund.
David reminded us that next week, Oct 27th, we hope to take down the large dead elm in the "secret garden", for this we will need a lot of people for a short while. David also mentioned that there are only 30 calendars left for sale, that there will be tree cutting work this Saturday at 9am, that the Autumn Litter Pick will be on Sat Nov 12th 9am at the bottom of Gainsborough Drive. He also reminded us of the Snape trip on Dec 10th and the annual Christmas meal on Thurs Jan 26th.
