A cold but dry and sunny morning brought a smaller than usual group out today. Although, we did have a visit from Brian Thornton from "Anglia In Bloom", to see how we are doing. Nobody in Foxburrow today as the path is ready and soon we will have the type1 stones delivered and on the mornings of Dec 7th - Dec 10th we will be barrowing them onto the muddier sections of path through Foxburrow Wood. We did have a gang chipping paths and we are once again, almost out of chippings, they don't last long this time of year. We gave half of the main path a sweep of leaves and will do the other half next week, hopefully. The B&B area was given a final cut, so the mowers can be put away for a while now. We continued repairing the fence around the "wild wood" and the wildflower meadow and this will hopefully continue next week. We had no Wally out today so no photos this week!
With coffee today we had a lovely selection of cakes from Brian & Cathy for no particular reason other than no one else was doing cakes, nice one!
David reminded us that Waveney Norse would, before Christmas, take a tractor & flail down the railway path to open it up to 10-12 feet wide and we may have to rake up afterwards. He reminded us of the work in Foxburrow, laying a stone path, would be on Wed-Sat, Dec 7-10th, mornings only. He also mentioned that the Christmas meal is full and the balance of £17 will be required soon.
