Half term this week which meant we had young Will with us as well as a very good turnout of grown-ups. We had some of the group chipping paths. The fence we started last week, down near Pleasurewood Hill's entrance, needed to be completed and we now had the planks to do it. While down at that end of the path the team took the opportunity to do some tidying up. We also tidied up all the wood/branches from the tree that was cut down last week. Some more work was done on the pond, clearing leaves and duck weed from it. There was some planting done in the B&B area and a bit of TLC to the silver birch we planted last week. We had joked at the start today that we needed to clear all the leaves from the whole length of the main path, from the main gate to PwH's gate. We didn't really think it would be possible but when Colin T is on the case he won't stop till the job's complete, even when those following him and wheelbarrowing the leaves away disappeared for coffee and cake, Colin kept going!
With coffee today we had hot sausage rolls and cheese rolls plus a lovely selection of cakes. All provided by Marion and Peter.
In David's listen up he thanked Peter & Marion for the cakes, he went on to say about the work we had achieved today and that he would be ordering 2 gate posts so we could fit a 5-bar gate at the Pleasurewood Hill's end of the main path and he needed some strong men to dig the holes! He also mentioned that Terry only had 4 tickets left for Blundeston on Nov 25th when Terry's group Circa 64 will be playing.
