Despite the strong wind and threats of rain many workers turned up today. The marjority decided to chip paths as we had a new heap of chippings. Also, path edging work continued.
With coffee today we had hot suasage rolls and a lovely selection of cakes from Carol - Happy 21st Carol!
David had done a "listen up" at the sheds before we started today, he asked for volunteers to help monitor the main path resurfacing next week. The work will be between Pleasurewood Hills entrance and the pond, we will need monitors at either end to make sure people are aware of the path closure and the diversion. He asked for people to write down on a list what days/times they could cover next Mon-Fri. David could not be there for coffee today so John did a quick "listen up" to thank Carol for the cakes, to explain to those that were not at the sheds about the worklist for next week and that the annual tree inspection is on Monday 9.30am at the main gate, we will walk through Gunton Wood, the green space and Foxburrow Wood looking for any tree work that needs doing. Maureen then mentioned that David would be giving a visual presentation of 20 years of GWCP in St. Peter's church at 11am on Saturday Oct 7th.
