A lot going on today, especially on the main path, tidying up after the resurfacing. We had a signpost to replace at the Pleasurewood Hills end, we also needed to put a fence up around the culvert at that end of the path. We had been left a pile of crushed concrete to spread on the main path in a couple of places. One of the trees at the top of Moore's lane which was growing into the field was cut down with the chainsaw and a new tree was planted in the wood, a silver birch. Some chipping was done and some weeding of path edges.
With coffee today we had hot sausage rolls and wedding cake! Brought along by the bride and groom, Chris and Greg, who were married on Saturday at Gunton St. Peter's church. Congratulations, we all wish you many more happy years together. We also had a visit from Cllr. Sue Barnard who was handing out questionnaires about the North Denes.
In David's listen up he thanked Chris & Greg for the cakes, he went on to say what a super wedding & reception they had on Saturday. He reminded us of the litter pick on Sat Nov 11th and that the committee are looking at the possibility of a different venue for the Christmas meal in Jan/Feb. Finally, he mentioned that the GWCP 20th Anniversary Calendars are now on sale at £5 but we have limited numbers and we have already sold well over 100.
