Today we continued with the cleaning of bird boxes ready for Spring. Others were spreading wood chips across the minor paths and some spreading road planings, which had been donated to us by Munnings of Gt. Yarmouth, along the muddier bits of the main path.
The weather was again cold but dry and with coffee we had a rare treat of hot sausage rolls, which Martin had brought on behalf of Marie whose ?0th birthday was last Thursday.
Last Saturday, the heavy gang finished the A12 fence in Foxburrow and removed the 3 main branches of the tree at the end of Gainsborough Drive. This had been suggested by Waveney Norse on their annual tree inspection as one branch had broken off in the storms making the tree unstable.
Yesterday, Wednesday, some of the gang were in Foxburrow tidying up the 2 dead trees that had been felled at the request of Waveney Norse, they were rotten at the base and close to the path so had to be removed before they fell and possibly injured someone.
