Not sure what happened in Gunton Wood yesterday but I did notice some of the paths have new chippings on them.
As for the coach trip - we had no hold-ups on the way so arrived by 9.15am at St. George's Distillery, they don't open till 10am! Fortunately they opened up early for us and got the coffee on.
The tour was very interesting and relaxing, this could have something to do with the unrestricted number of samples (whisky and liqueurs) we could taste at the end.
There was plenty of time after the tour which some spent relaxing while others hit the shop hard. I think St. George's must have been quite pleased with the amount they were selling.
We had plenty of time to relax in Thetford, some choosing pub lunch and some picnicking.
After lunch we had the Dad's Army tour which involved a tour around Thetford looking at some of the locations used, stopping at the Charles Burrell museum to see J. Jones's van which they paid £61,000 for at auction two years ago!
Unfortunately, the heat got to us all and it was decided to miss out a couple of stops so we could get back to the museum for tea & biscuits and a look around.
Our driver picked us up from the museum, which we were all very grateful for as most did not fancy any more walking.
Leaving at 5pm, we were back in Gunton before 6.30.
