Another lovely morning and another large turnout. A group of us were replacing rotten path edging with fresh wood, others finding wood for stakes and some pegging down the edging. Others were chipping paths using the new chips that had been delivered this week, the chips were alive! Thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of very tiny, baby wood lice (wood pigs). At first we thought they were ants, crawling all over the wheelbarrows and as we tipped the chips on the path, thousands would scatter just like swarming ants. Also, a table down on Moore's lane was inspected and found that all 4 legs had rotted away. The top was taken and stored till next week when we hope to cut down an old tree on the main path to PwH and use the trunk as new legs.
With coffee today we had a lovely selection of cakes, homemade by Tesco! In celebration of Ellie's -0th birthday next Friday.
Saturday work is postponed at the moment.
