A lovely sunny dry morning today for a change and our main group were clearing the soil heap near the coffee table and spreading it around the wood. The ladies were in the ditch again, clearing the blockage at the bridge into the field near PwH. We also had work on the pond, cutting back holly and brambles that were overhanging onto the paths, planting out some trees, tidying up the nursery and putting the 150 free trees (whips) that arrived from TCV into the nursery.
With coffee today we had Bucks Fizz! To celebrate David and Rosemary's 25th wedding anniversary. We also had hot hot-cross-buns and cake provided by David and Rosemary for their silver wedding anniversary.
David mentioned that we would not be getting any more wood chippings until April but the work on the further resurfacing of the main path would start soon. He also suggested that next week we might take down a large sycamore tree at the top of Moore's Lane if we have enough (8-9) strong people to be on the rope to make sure it lands in the right place!
