All hands to the rakes today, including 2 new members - Andrea and Paul. Everyone headed off to the wild flower meadow and b&b area, to strim the bits that had not yet been cut and to rake up all the bits that had been cut, hot work in this weather! We hope to do a finer cut with the mowers next week.
With coffee today we had hot sausage rolls, scones and cakes from Christine "for no reason". That's a good enough reason for me!
David mentioned about doing another cut of the meadow next week and possibly another one in November. He also said that the new blue water pipe needs to be put in the ditch soon but this may not be a Thursday job and that there is some himalayan balsam at Crome Walk which we can sort out when we are working in Foxburrow. He also reminded us that we will be working in Foxburrow Wood on Sept 8th. As for social events, the Bingo Fish Chips night on Sept 8th is full, Snape still has some availability and flyers for next year's holiday were handed out.
